Testimonials

The very best dog grooming service.

Ramona provided the very best dog grooming service for our beloved cocker spaniel Ted. He was a bit nervous at the start (it was his first trim), but Ramona went out of her way to make him feel at ease -her genuine love for dogs shines through! We will definitely be back again. Thanks so much The Mud Room!

Fantastic first experience!

Fantastic first experience! Highly recommend. Have tried many groomers in the past and Ramona did a great job with our dogs groom and will definitely be booking in again. They are also incredibly responsive and professional at all times. Thank you!

Sophie

Right on our doorstep.

The new salon is perfect for us as it is just up the road. Frances loves visiting and always comes back soft and smelling lovely. Thanks so much for taking care of our little terror.

Our dog loved her!

Our dog Riley has his hair cut and Ramona was so friendly and nice. She provided a great service and our dog loved her! He got plenty of attention and was made to feel right at home the entire time. Would highly recommend.

  • Creating a strong bond between your furry friend and their groomer is vital, especially if your pup tends to get nervous during grooming sessions. 🐶✨⁣

When your dog trusts their groomer, it can make all the difference in their grooming experience. A bond built on trust ensures that your pet feels safe, understood, and ultimately, less stressed during their appointment. 🌟⁣

Encourage this relationship by introducing your dog to their groomer gradually, allowing them time to sniff around and get familiar. Positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency are key ingredients in nurturing this trust. 🤝💕⁣

Remember, a good groomer would never do a full groom session on a nervous dog straight away and they will take their time to ensure your dog feels safe, comfortable and less stressed during their grooms.

  • Wondering how often you need to wash fury friends!

Well, it depends! Factors like breed, lifestyle and skin conditions play a role. As a General rule bathing every 4-6weeks is best as it keeps their coat healthy without stripping natural oils. Remember , over bathing can lead to dry skin. Here are a couple of examples of bath times based on breeds.

⭐️ Labrador Retriever: Labs have a water-resistant double coat that doesn’t need frequent bathing. A good bath time for a Lab is approximately every 6-8 weeks, unless they get particularly dirty from outdoor activities like swimming or rolling in the mud.

⭐️Poodle: Poodles have a curly, dense coat that requires more frequent grooming, including bathing. Since their coat tends to trap dirt and odors more easily, a good bath time for a Poodle is around every 4-6 weeks to keep their coat clean and free of matting (don’t forget brushing is key to a Matt free coat!)

However, all frequencies may vary depending on the specific needs of your dog’s coat and skin health. Regular brushing between baths can also help maintain their coat’s health and appearance and if they have a skin condition you need a personalised schedule from either your vet or groomer!
